Recombinant Human Keratinocyte Growth Fatcor-2 (rh-KGF-2)
Keratinocyte Growth Fatcor-2, KGF-2, also known as fibroblast growth factor 10(Fibroblast Growth Factor 10, FGF-10), can bind with heparin and belongs to a member of the FGF superfamily. It mainly acts on the receptor FGFR-2b on the surface of epithelial cell membrane and promotes the phosphorylation of the C- terminal tyrosine residue in the receptor cell. The phosphorylated receptor has tyrosine protein kinase activity, and interact with a series of target proteins in the cell, trigger a signal cascade reaction, play a biological role. Therefore, KGF-2 can specifically promote the growth, proliferation and differentiation of epithelial cells. Compared with other growth factors, it has a more significant role in promoting healing and reducing scar in the repair and regeneration of burns, ulcers and external wounds.
