The DEAE NUPharose series are weak anion exchange resins, where DEAE stands for Diethylaminoethyl.
Compared to strong anion exchange (Q) resins, weak anion exchange resins offer different selectivity and can be considered when Q resins do not meet selectivity requirements.
Based on resolution and application scenarios, the DEAE NUPharose series can be divided into two products: DEAE NUPharose FF (~90 μm) and DEAE NUPharose HP (~35 μm). FF stands for Fast Flow; DEAE NUPharose FF features fast flow rates suitable for rapid protein purification, wide applicability, and easy scale-up. HP stands for High Performance; DEAE NUPharose HP offers high resolution and is often used in polishing stages.
