NUPharose 4FF and NUPharose 6FF are agarose-based gel filtration resins from our classic NUPharose technology platform. Gel filtration resins are also referred to as size exclusion resins. NUPharose 4FF and NUPharose 6FF consist of 4% and 6% crosslinked agarose, respectively, with unique pore sizes and pore size distributions.
Thanks to strict raw material screening and control, as well as innovations in bead forming and cross-linking processes, these products exhibit excellent pressure/flow characteristics and low non-specific adsorption to biomacromolecules, resulting in high product recovery.
They are particularly suitable for the separation of larger particles such as viral particles and exosomes. Furthermore, NUPharose 4FF and NUPharose 6FF possess good physical and chemical stability. They can serve as base matrices and, after modification with specific small molecule or macromolecule ligands, can be used in various bioseparation processes.
